Ilah's 2nd birthday party was over the weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! Our little cupcake had an afternoon full of love, laughter, presents and lots of sugar! Ha! I will be sharing pictures of her special day soon!! I'm weeding through hundreds of pictures and trying to narrow them down!!
On Ilah's actual birthday {last Thursday, January 12th}, we took her to Chuck-E-Cheese. We wanted to at least do something fun for her on her special day. My mom met us there, and so did Dele's mom and sister who are both in town visiting.
Here's Ilah getting some love from her Abuela! She ran right up to her when she saw her...
Ilah LOVES riding this little merry-go-round every time we go to Chuck-E-Cheese. She could stay on it all day! Ha!.....
Daddy thought he would upgrade her horsey ; ) ....
Dele's sister and mom showed up as Ilah was riding on her big horse....
She was holding on tight and taking the game pretty seriously. Look at that face! Ha!....
Onto some other fun!...
Do you notice how empty the place is?! Not a single person there!! I tell ya, I LOVE going to Chuck-E-Cheese during the week when kids are in school and we have it all to ourselves : )
Ilah really wasn't sure to do against the blue screen....
And quickly got this face....
So daddy stepped in to show her how it's done....
They made their first big screen appearance together : ) ....
Then it was time to ride a monster truck {it seems she's already trying to learn how to parallel park!}....
Then it was onto knocking down ducks...
And capturing bees....
And playing on the slide...
And taking a picture with Chuck himself!....
After running around for an hour or so, it was time to eat pizza and some fruit!....
I picked up cupcakes that morning to take with us!!...
That cupcake was probably the highlight of Ilah's day!!...

We weren't on the road for two minutes before she was passed out!! She took a long nap that day and I was able to get some rest myself!!Can I let you in on a little secret?...I already have half of the stuff for Ilah's 3rd birthday party purchased! When I see things that go with the theme, I have to buy them ; ) Will share my inspiration board with you soon!!

I love Chuck E. Cheese - I typically have more than the kids I take there, I get so into it lol
I really do love to see pictures of Ilah with Abuela...they are some beautiful ladies! I especially loved the one with Ilah running to her....you just can't fake that kinda love. Way to go, Abuela!
This makes me excited to take my little guy to Chuck E. Cheese once he's old enough. He's ten months old now...maybe once he's walking? Exciting!
I love the family resemblance in Dele's family! What beautiful ladies his sis and mom are! And his mom looks like she could be a sister. So cute! And I love the picture of Ilah running up to her Abuela. Gorgeous!
