Thursday Late Night Date Night

A few months back, we purchased some movie tickets off of Groupon to Studio Movie Grill - a place that is seemingly a bar, a movie theatre, and a restaurant all wrapped up into one. We remembered this week that our tickets were due to expire soon so we had a spontaneous Thursday "late night date night". And when I say late...our movie started at 10:20 p.m. and we got home after 12 midnight. We saw Contangion...

We really liked Studio Movie Grill. A perfect date night spot. We will definitely be going back!

After we got our tickets, we turned around and noticed a bar. I was like, "What? A Bar?! Wow". In advance I knew the concept of them serving food at your table, but I didn't know the spot included a mini bar scene. Makes total sense. Very clever folks ; )

Lots of comfy seating....

There are Studio Movie Grill locations in Texas, Georgia and Arizona. They should bring them to many more cities because this concept is an excellent one!

Hallway leading to various movies that are showing....

Because we went on a Thursday night, the theatre wasn't packed so we didn't have anyone sitting next to us. You get a menu to order from {that is very extensive in food options} and you press a button on your table and a waiter comes and takes your order {you can also bring in any drinks that you purchase from the bar}. The food was not only reasonable priced, but was pretty good! Our Groupon promotion included two ticket vouchers for soft drinks. The seats are super comfy and recline. We had a great night out {thank you mom for coming over to stay with Ilah}!

Job App Created By My Husband! Please VOTE!!

I've mentioned before that my husband is a Senior Software Developer for the largest pharmaceutical distributor in North America, as well as the nation’s leading Health Care IT company. He extends his profession outside of his workplace, independently developing app's for web and mobile spaces, including Windows (Web/Desktop), Windows Phone 7, HP WebOS, Apple, and Android. Most recently, he entered his newest app {Job Compass} into a competition conducted by the US Department of Labor.

Job Compass has many extensive components that job seekers will find extremely beneficial {if you are currently looking for a job, and happen to have a Windows Phone 7, you can go here to download this app for free!}.

I'm super proud of my husband's self motivation to not only further himself in his career, but also for seeking out competitions and challenging himself to create a variety of trendsetting, helpful, and user-friendly apps for the public, most of which are downloadable for free in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Although my husband has created several apps, I don't often use my blog as a platform to advertise them. I only did so once, almost ten months ago, in January ; ) But WE WOULD SO APPRECIATE YOU VOTING FOR THIS APP!!!

Below is the link where you can actually view a video about Job Compass, see screen shots of the app, read what it entails, and vote for it! {to do so, click "vote" that will be on the right hand side of the screen, next to his app {Job Compass}! In order to vote, you will either have to register, and confirm your registration via email, for your vote to count - or you can log-in through your Facebook account and vote. *SEE SCREENSHOT ABOVE*. Thank you for your time!!!

Saturday Fun at The Fair!

In Friday's post I mentioned that we didn't have anything planned over the weekend but it turned out that Saturday was Ilah's day of fun! We spontaneously decided to go to The North Georgia Fair! I didn't even know there was one until that morning when I looked up something fun for us to do as a family that day : ) We got there around 12:00 noon...

Ilah, who usually never wants to hold our hand and would rather run free, held on pretty tight to Daddy's hand for a bit until she got used to where she was! I think she was on sensory overload! ha!

Our first stop was a pony ride for $5. Ilah impatiently waited in line. Ha! And when it was finally her turn to get on the pony, she LOVED it!!! She kept saying "weeee!!" and when her ride was over...well, let's just say she had a little meltdown. She would have rode on that pony for HOURS!!

Me and my sweet girl!...

It was on to the carousel! To ride on a fake horse ; ) Look at Ilah's face....if there was a thought bubble above her head it would say, "when is it gonna be our turn?"....

All aboard!....

Man, this carousel really got goin'! ha!.....

There were so many rides for little ones....

Ilah was too short to ride on some of them : (

But she did reach the height limit for quite a few! : ) ....

Daddy buckling his little girl in ; )

We were at the fair for a few hours and had a wonderful afternoon of family fun! We ended our day with one last ride on the carousel....

Our happy little girl!!...

Before we left, I told Ilah how much fun I had with her and we gave each other a little kiss....

On the way home, Ilah was all smiles!....

I cherish these times together!!!

Our Friday

Our morning began with kisses and hugs from Daddy before he headed out for work. These days Ilah has started to pull him down to sit with her, or reach up for him to pick her up, to delay him from leaving. And daddy always takes an extra few minutes to be with his baby girl. She's wrapped around his finger I tell ya ; ) When daddy headed out, it was onto breakfast, then play time, then onto reading some books...Ilah watched some cartoons, reverted back to playing with her toys, had some snacks, and then we got dressed to head out - by this time it was around 10:30 a.m.

Here's my sweet girl, all buckled in {and all smiles!}, ready to go wherever mommy has in mind!...

And then it turned to this....

"Seriously Mommy. How many times are you going to point that thing at me?"

Ha ha!!

I dipped in to the Dollar Store to see if anything caught my eye. When I go it's usually when I need stuff like tape, envelopes, etc. I spotted these cute yearly planners that are small enough to fit inside your purse. Perfect size....

And I took a pic of these Hefty ziplock bags to remind myself that the Dollar Store carries these for just...well...$1! Lol!....

And then we went onto Kohl's....

I had a $10 gift card/coupon and got a cute pair of earrings. When applying the $10 off, along with the sale price, I scored them for just a little over $1 : ) .....

I really need to add more accessories to my jewel box.

After Kohl's we went to have lunch with Daddy!! I can't remember the last time we took a picture of the three of us. Usually one of us is taking pictures of the other with Ilah. Even though I'm a little cut off, I love this photo : )

We got out of lunch around 1:45 p.m. and our sweet girl passed out on the way home....

Today I actually napped when Ilah did. I can't even remember the last time I did that. I had a headache and instead of browsing the internet, or straightening things up around the house, I put my head to my pillow and slept it off.

No exciting plans for the weekend...our busy days will be week days for a while. We talked about checking out an eatery downtown that we haven't been to, so perhaps we'll give that spot a try on Saturday. Hope you all have a relaxing and great weekend!
